Markus Paltalla held his own among the much more powerful LMP cars, finishing eighth overall in Race 1 and carrying sixth place overall across the finish line in Race 2. In the GT1b class, this meant maximum points from both races and, accordingly, a start to the season that could not have been more successful.
The second championship round now takes place in May at the SPA CLASSICS in Francorchamps, where the team will prepare thoroughly for what is effectively its “home race” in order, hopefully, to claim victory there once again, just as it did in 2025.
Then, on the weekend of April 11 and 12, the newly created SRO GT3 REVIVAL SERIES will begin in Paul Ricard/Castellet in southern France with its first two championship races, where Christian Schumacher’s team will make the eagerly awaited debut of the freshly restored FORD GT GT3. Under the KLAUSEN RACING banner, the entire racing program with these cars will be contested this year.
With Lindsay BREWER from the USA and Célia MARTIN from France, the team is fielding a fast all-female driver lineup in the first car, before the second FORD GT GT3, featuring Markus PALTALLA among others, will be entered from SPA CLASSICS in May onward, also as part of the PETER AUTO events.
